Derek Yee is the founder of Yee & Company and has devoted his legal practice to representing injured individuals in motor vehicle accident and ICBC claims.
His personal philosophy is to support and guide his clients by providing practical legal advice in accessible and understandable terms. He recognizes that returning to full health is an important objective for his clients, and as a result, he helps reduce their stress by directly dealing with their claims so that they can focus on the medical treatment they need.
For his entire legal career, Derek has fought for the injured individual. He has extensive experience representing and advising people of all backgrounds and has appeared in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Prior to establishing Yee & Company, he practiced at a number of plaintiff-only personal injury law firms.
Derek obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law and studied management, economics, and psychology at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
When time allows, Derek enjoys discussing the latest basketball news, hiking up Grouse Mountain, cycling, and tabletop gaming.
